Buffet Line Servers, Table Waiters, Bussing Tables, Cell Phone Room Monitors, Coffee/ Pastry Servers, Tear Down & Clean Up, Dining Room Runners, Dishwashing & Recycling, Greeters & Line Monitors, Guest Transportation, Pie Cutters and more.
Christmas Eve Opportunities:
The fun starts on Saturday. If you can’t help Christmas Day, come help us get ready the day before. We’ll be Loading In, Setting Up and Decorating all day. See the Hands On website for shift details.
Registration is Required for All Volunteers
You MUST REGISTER to volunteer on either Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. No Walk-Ins Please! Be sure to sign up early. Given the limited number of volunteer opportunities spots fill up fast. Please read the information below and sign up for ONE SHIFT only (not one shift each day). We want to give as many people as possible an opportunity to help. Again, there will be no same day registration. You must be registered in advance.
All Christmas Dinner volunteer registration is done on the Hands On Greater Portland website. You will need to sign up each person in your family individually. There is no team registration option for this event. This is so popular that this is the fairest way we can make volunteering available to as many people as possible.

HOLIDAY GOODIES NEEDED
Potluck in the Park welcomes donations of homemade or commercial non-perishable pies and cakes for our Christmas Day Dinner and cookies and pastries for our Sidewalk Coffee & Pastry Cafe out front. You can bake yourself or purchase, or maybe ask your local coffee shop or bakery for a donation of their Christmas Eve leftovers.
We also need No-Sugar, Low Sugar and Gluten Free desserts and fresh bananas for our diabetic and “dentally challenged” guests.
If you can help, please confirm via email to xmasbakedgoods@potluckinthepark.org. We aren’t able to do this signup through the Hands On process. If you are bringing pies or cakes, please indicate how many.
IMPORTANT DELIVERY INFO! In order to reduce confusion on Christmas Day we ask that all baked goods be delivered the day before, on Saturday, the 24th between 10am and 4pm when we will be setting up and decorating. Please bring them directly to the Art Museum.
