As mentioned in Potluck’s December newsletter, several board members have been working with state and county officials to create new food sanitation rules which would allow us to serve home prepared foods to needy individuals. After nearly two years of meetings, the rules have finally been adopted!

Effective immediately, home prepared foods can only be accepted from volunteers who have obtained a Food Handler’s Card.

Potluck has been able to obtain almost
5 TONS of food and supplies in the last two months!
In addition 69 pairs of Danner Boots to benefit Potluck guests.

*Ways to Help... Open Volunteer Positions...*
*Volunteers* Shopper / Driver Email	Several positions open...Select, pick up and transport food and supplies. Go to Birch Community Services, 17780 NE San Rafael St, Portland, OR 97230 and to PiP food to preparation sites. Van or station wagon helpful. These positions reqire someone with good "shopping" skills and someone who can lift groceries and load them into a vehicle. This could be a team effort. No prior experience necessary. Will train! This is a great behind the scenes position for someone or several people who are unable to help on Sunday but could help on Monday or Friday mid-day.

*Volunteer Coordinator*	Potluck in the Park has an open position for a Volunteer Coordinator. Desire "people person" with good organizational skills to coordinate volunteers on a weekly basis and on Sunday at the weekly events.
*Ways to Give... Contributions Needed*
*Fund a Need*	PiP spends about $45 / week to cover the purchases of protein items to supplement the regular food donations. If you feel led to help with this reoccurring expense, please contact PiP. One sponsor to contribute the monthly amount or one for each week of the month.	Email

*Fund a Need*	*To cover additional transportation costs incurred in obtaining food and supplies each week. Two or three donors needed.*	Email

1 ea	We have a need for a Commercial Refrigerator Upright Double Door Reach In New or used. Good condition. Donations accepted! Email

4 ea	We have a need for 4 each Insulated Hot Food Transports (Mfg by Cambro or Carslile) Used. Good condition. Donations accepted! Email

24 ea	Hotel Pans 2" or 4" Deep Email

1 ea	Small van or truck. Good Condition Email

To provide resources and information that directs our guests to other resources in the community.
To provide a setting for a Holiday Dinner where people who would otherwise be alone can come and feel they are parts of our large and caring family.
